Ventianni

Lincoln, MA

Fusing a traditional New England aesthetic with forward-thinking sustainability features, this all-American Colonial revival home is designed for an active family with spaces intended for real life: working, playing, cooking entertaining, reading, exercising and enjoying the outdoors. Situated to take advantage of the expansive views and sun exposure on its seven-acre site this clapboard home with modified butterfly plan is conceived as a recreational compound with discreet but connected elements to downplay its grandeur. The sports facility located at the opposite end of the site is disguised as a quintessential New England barn by depressing the structure into the hillside; housing an indoor tennis court as well as a lounge that opens to both the outdoor pool and indoor training space.
