This Month, Experience Farm-Fresh Cooking at its Best at Boston Public Market

May 2, 2018

Earlier today, we had the pleasure of attending a seasonal cooking demonstration and tasting led by one of our clients – local home cook and healthy-eating guru Iris Garabedian Louis. In just an hour, Louis showed us how to prepare three simple appetizers, using fresh local ingredients including roasted sunchokes, olive-oil infused cauliflower, carrots, and poached fish.

We cannot imagine a better way to spend the lunch hour than learning how to cook simple and healthy foods sourcing local farm produce. Louis is leading three more demonstration tastings over the next month, we encourage everyone to check them out!

All events are presented by The Trustees and take place at their KITCHEN space in the Boston Public Market. Click here for more details and to reserve your spot in the kitchen. RSVP is required to ensure samples for all attending.

  • May 16 | Catch of the Day – Iris will teach attendees how to utilize what’s available from your local fisherman, using the Catch of the Day from Red’s Best.
  • May 30 | Healthy Comfort Food – Iris will demo a savory dish using seasonal veggies available that day in the market! A truly local experience.
  • June 6 | Green is Good – Iris will create a seasonal salad recipe using ingredients plucked from the ground that very day from Stillman’s Farm and Siena Farm, plus a healthy salad dressing made from scratch.
